Far-right National Rally candidate Franck Allisio has been successful in stirring security fears in Marseille's mayoral race, where he promises to triple the number of municipal cops, double the number on security cameras, and put a police post in every district to "bring happiness back" to the people of Marseille. The campaign has helped persuade some of his relatives to vote for him. Allisios' strong performance in Marseilles could give the RN a chance to win the presidency in the 2027 election.
