The global markets rallied sharply on Tuesday as President Donald Trump indicated that the U.S. war with Iran could be moving towards a resolution, with reports suggesting that Washington and Tehran may be exploring ways to end their conflict. The White House announced that President Donald Obama will deliver an address to the nation to provide an important update on Iran at 9 p.m. ET. All three major U.K. indexes posted their best day since May, with the Dow jumping more than 1,100 points and the S&P 500 gaining 2.91% and the Nasdaq Composite advancing 3.83% to 21,590.63. Meanwhile, tech stocks, particularly artificial intelligence, have also seen notable swings, with OpenAI announcing it closed a record-breaking funding round valued at $852 billion post-money, with $122 billion in committed capital.
