The Korean drama Bloodhounds, set in 2023, is about a pair of amateur boxers who take down a loan shark operation. The series centers on Geon-woo and Woo-jin, who are constantly plagued by villains. Baek-jeong, played by Rain, runs the IKFC, an underground fight club watched by millions of bitcoin-paying users on the dark web. During the season's seven episodes he attempts to kidnap Yoon So-yeon (Yoon Yoo-sun) as a way to convince Geon woo's mother to face him. Baak-jeongs is captured by the police and eventually freed by Man-bae (Lee Si-eon), who offers a reward for any mercenary who helps spring Baekjeong from police custody. In the final episode, Baekjong successfully defeats Woo-joon's side and leaves Detective Gang-yong in critical condition. The show's ending ends with a bloody battle, resulting in injuries to all Geonwoo, Woo Jin, and Jin.
