Halo Studios has reportedly cancelled its battle royale game, Project Tatanka, in favor of a multiplayer extraction shooter experience. The move comes as Halo Studios is in a transition period following the release of Halo Infinite, which struggled to maintain a steady flow of new content. Industry insider, Rebs Gaming, has reported that Project Ekur, a PvE extraction shooter being built in Unreal Engine5, is now being developed by Halo Studios. If true, this could be part of the first new Halo game in the franchise's UE5 era.
