The third government shutdown in six months, the longest in U.S. history due to an impasse over Affordable Care Act subsidies, and a partial shutdown over Department of Homeland Security funding, has resulted in long airport security lines and long delays. The shutdown has meant about 50,000 Transportation Security Administration officers have been working without pay without pay, many have taken second jobs, while others are calling in sick. This could potentially shut down airports if agents start calling out of work. Despite efforts to resolve this issue, Congress remains in a stalemate over DHS funding, with both parties blaming each other and using similar language to blame each other. S.E. Cuppate, the host of CNN.
