Search continues for missing teen as family questions jail release during mental health crisis

Briana Guerra, a 17-year-old girl from Texas, has been missing since Monday morning and her parents are asking for public assistance. The Texas Department of Public Safety issued an AMBER Alert for Briana, who was arrested for a family assault charge and taken to the Bexar County jail due to her age. Her family believes her release was handled within policy but an internal investigation is ongoing. Briana was last seen wearing a blue shirt, jean shorts, and blue Crocs with a roman numeral tattoo on her left arm.
