The Border Network for Human Rights (BNHR) and several partner organizations gathered to protest plans for an immigration detention warehouse facility in Socorro, Texas. They also gathered to draw attention to existing detention facilities, like Camp East Montana, which operates on Fort Bliss property. The protest was held in response to allegations that people are profiting from immigration detention. Other groups participating included Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center and the ACLU.
