Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are deploying to US airports due to a Homeland Security funding lapse, which has led to increased security lines and delays. The agents are likely not directly assisting with screening lines, but will assist in freeing up TSA agents. Much of the Department of Homeland Security is shut down, but ICE and CBP are still operating.
