Single-Use Plastic Bag Ban Approved In Jenkintown

The Jenkintown Borough Council has approved a law that prohibits providing single-use plastic bags to customers and requires businesses to display signage informing customers of these changes. The law also prohibits providing compostable straws and stirrers. All proceeds from the ban are retained by the retail establishment.
