Kentucky authorities have issued an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Laken Snelling, who is accused of leaving her newborn son for dead in a closet. This comes after a Fayette County grand jury indicted her on first-degree manslaughter charges for allegedly leaving the child to die in her closet in August. Initially charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and concealing the birth of an infant, Snelling pleaded not guilty to all counts. She has since withdrawn from the University of Kentucky and its STUNT team and has been living under house arrest. If found guilty, she could face a maximum of 20 years in prison.
