Jersey's wealthiest paying for UK health costs 'could save £250k'

The UK government has proposed charging for wealthy individuals to travel to the country for healthcare treatment. The proposal was made in response to a written question from Health Minister Tom Binet. Currently, public patients who are referred off-island receive their fees paid for by the government. However, adult patients with income above £210,400 would not be eligible for funded travel or accommodation.
