Truck driver who fatally hit man, 44, in NYC, checked on him, then drove off: prosecutors

Vincent Spano, a 33-year-old Florida resident, was driving an oil truck when he reversed into a pedestrian on the Upper East Side, killing him. Spano then stopped the truck and checked on the victim before driving off. The victim, Terrill Jenkins, died of his injuries at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center three hours after the accident. Following his arrest, Spano was granted supervised release by a judge and is scheduled to return to court on May 6.
