Great Plains SPCA’s Best In Show photo contest returns for 2026

Great Plains SPCA has reopened its Best In Show Pet Photo Contest for 2026, offering winners a spot on an outdoor mural at the shelter's Merriam campus. Entries are open now through Oct. 10, with early entrants receiving 10 bonus votes. The winning pets will be depicted in a massive outdoor mural by local artist Dani Roma. The contest culminates on Oct. 15 with an exclusive evening event featuring cocktails, food, adoptable pets, a silent auction, raffle prizes and the live crowning of the 2026 Best In Shows winners.
