My family of four were invited to a dinner of corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s Day dinner by my brother and sister-in-law, who do not like the dish, and my aunt, who was visiting from out of town, cancelled the dinner after learning that some of them didn't like corned Beef. The dinner was cancelled by the sister-mother, who is Irish and a tradition she wanted to share with everyone. Miss Manners suggests that while some people may dislike cored beef, others may prefer to be spared hearing about it. Suggestions for those who don't like it, such as those who do like it can be appreciated with loud praise.
