ACME’s Artist Access Program is now open for applications, offering free or low-cost spaces and equipment for artists working in Austin or the extraterritorial zone. The program partners with creative spaces across the city, such as the Asian American Resource Center, Dougherty Arts Center, the George Washington Carver Museum, and Zilker Hillside Theater. Smash by Smashwest, a grassroots festival opposing South by Southwest's ties to military contractors, big tech, and gentrification, was reported for misuse of the festival's name on Instagram. The city of Austin has also announced a proclamation naming FloMob Day, marking March 12, 2026.
