Mocs display physicality, QB battle heats up at Spring Showcase

The annual Mocs Spring Showcase saw football at a new setting at the team's practice field, Scrappy Moore Field, where the team practices every day when no one is watching. The physicality of the game was a highlight, with players displaying specific skills and playing fast and physicality. The competition for the position of the starting quarterback, Matthew Clemmer, Parker Awad and Battle Alberson, remained tight despite all three seeing roughly the same amount of action. Despite an entire fall camp to determine who will win the job, head coach Rusty Wright acknowledged the importance of the physicality displayed during the showcase.
