A 25-year-old Ohio man was arrested following a high-speed police chase in Monroe County. The incident occurred around 9:12 a.m. on Friday (May 8) in Milan Township. Police were conducting speed enforcement when they observed a gray GMC Sierra traveling westbound at 58 mph in a posted 40 mph zone. The vehicle then accelerated at a high rate of speed, causing it to fishtail repeatedly while traveling between 50 and 60 mph. No injuries or property damage were reported. During a search of the vehicle, deputies found a loaded assault rifle magazine and a box of ammunition.
