Europe played a significant role in the recent Artemis II Moon mission, providing propulsion for the mission and providing oxygen, water, and electricity for the astronauts. The European Space Agency (ESA) is also planning to explore Earth's natural satellite, with plans to send equipment to the Moon in 2030 with the crewless Moon lander. The mission was completed by three US and one Canadian astronauts. Additionally, some 100 companies from 13 European countries participated in the mission.
