Former US Department of Homeland Security lawyer Julie Le, who made headlines after telling a judge that her job "sucks", is running for Congress in an attempt to challenge Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar. Le was fired hours after her outburst in court and announced she would be a more moderate lawmaker than Omar, who has advocated for abolishing ICE. She will be running as a Democrat in the August 11 primary.
