Windsor Special Meeting Fails To Move Broad Street Diet Vote

The Windsor Republican Town Committee failed to move the Broad Street special town meeting from April 28 to May 2, citing a lack of Democratic councilors. The issue arose from the Town Council's approval of the revised Broad Street Traffic Calming and Pedestrian Safety Project on April 6. The project is currently being funded through a State of Connecticut Urban Act grant and a reimbursable U.S. Department of Transportation grant. The revised plan aims to slow traffic and make downtown crossings safer.
