Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA) criticized Robert Kennedy Jr. for allowing conspiracy theories to run our public health, stating that he and the president have been overruled by doctors, scientists, and public health experts. Thompson cited a recent Sacramento Bee article as evidence that measles cases in California have increased from 514 under former President Joe Biden to 2,300 under one year under President Donald Trump. He also accused the Trump administration of elevating misinformation and undermining basic public health.
