Severe storms, strong winds possible late Sunday into Monday for Southeast Louisiana, Mississippi, late Monday into the week. The National Weather Service has been working with the National Hurricane Center to prepare for severe weather events. Severe weather is expected to occur across the region, with temperatures expected to drop into the 50s and lower 60s expected to fall off as temperatures creep up towards the weekend. Another round of severe weather is predicted for the end of the weekend, with more than half of the affected areas expected to be under a level 2 or 3-level severe weather risk. The area is under a 1 and 2-level risk for severe storms, with the potential for strong winds and severe weather conditions behind it. High temperatures and lower air temperatures are expected to remain below the freezing air and lower temperatures of this week.
