'Big Little Lies' Is Getting a Book Sequel — and It's a Major Clue for Season 3 of the Show

Pengu Random House has announced that author Liane Moriarty's sequel to "Big Little Lies," "big Little Truths," will be released this summer and will be used as the basis for the third season of "BigLittle Lies." This marks the first time Moriarty has written a sequel, and the book's official synopsis suggests that it flashes forward from the last time seeing the characters aged five to high school. The book's release is set for August 25, 2026. Despite initial interest from Moriarty, she has expressed a desire to wait for her own children to become teenagers. The sequel is described as a "tensely observed exploration of contemporary womanhood" and "lifted with Moriarty’s signature wit."
