The New England Patriots are planning to exercise the fifth-year option for Pro-Bowl cornerback Christian Gonzalez. The option is worth $18.199 million in 2027 and could be used to finance a long-term extension. The 23-year-old made the Pro Bowl last season after making 69 tackles and 10 passes defensed in 14 starts.
