Woman charged after burning her brother with an iron: Shaker Heights police blotter

Police in Shaker Heights have reported several arrests, including a 44-year-old Maple Heights man for OVI, a 50-year old Chagrin Falls woman for OWI, a woman who burned her brother with a hot iron. The man was stopped for a taillight violation and found to have a blood-alcohol content of.189, above the state minimum for drunk driving, which led to an additional charge of having a prohibited BAC. The woman also failed field sobriety tests at a local hospital and was also charged with having a banned BAC after failing to provide a biological sample. Other incidents included a domestic disturbance at a woman's home and an alleged assault on her boyfriend. The police blotter also reported that someone broke into an unlocked Jeep and stole personal property valued at $196.48.
