HBO Max series, "Proud," swept the Top European TV Festival with a win for its creator Karol Klementewicz and lead actor Ignacy Liss. The series, which may still be controversial in Poland due to its lack of legal precedents for gay couples to adopt children, also won best actor for Liss' portrayal of a young gay man who is forced to step up his game to care for a baby orphaned by his late sister. Other winners included the BBC for best screenplay and best actor in International Panorama. The main competition for the Audience Award was won by Australian ABC-BBC-ZDF drama "Dustfall".
