Goat Mowers, a business in southern Colorado, is booming during warm, dry weather. The owner, Kim Jones, said each of her 250 goats can eat up to 10 pounds of leaves a day and bring the fire canopy up to nine feet off the ground. Jones also noted that the goats are beneficial for the environment as they aid in invasive weed control and keep water in the soil. Additionally, Jones emphasized the importance of fire mitigation, which can save homes.
