The final compromise will prohibit crypto platforms from offering rewards that use language that equates them with deposit yield or ties them to the amount of assets a user holds, Lummiss said. The legislation is expected to receive a hearing after the Senate's Easter break and then be reworked into a combined version that could eventually face a vote by the overall Senate. However, the Senate schedule is uncertain due to ongoing legislative tussles over other legislation and the war in Iran.
