Crossing guard resigns days after brutal assault outside Delaware County school

The crossing guard who was brutally attacked outside a Delaware County school has resigned from her position. The incident occurred during dismissal at around 3:30pm on Monday. Police believe the attacker became angry after the guard stopped traffic for students boarding a school bus. Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect, who was driving a gold Nissan Altima.
