Gloucester's Longsmith Street, Kings Walk and Eastgate Street car parks will be subject to a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) following rough sleepers using one of the car parks last year. The order will allow authorised council officers and police to direct individuals to leave the car park where they believe they are seeing a person occupying, loitering, congregating with others, or using the area for a purpose unrelated to parking. The council has asked the public to support the order by reporting issues to the council.
