TIMELINE: Severe storms bring tornado risk to Oklahoma on Tuesday

Oklahoma is facing a severe weather threat on Tuesday afternoon, with a heightened tornado risk in specific areas and potential for hail and strong winds. Most of the state is under a level two slight risk for severe storms, but there is a low tornado outlook for western, northern and eastern Oklahoma. The most intense storms are expected to develop far southern Oklahoma early in the morning and move east through the night. The state's tornado threat is expected to peak around midnight and then move into eastern parts of the eastern parts. Hail and Strong Winds are also expected to be expected from northern and western Oklahoma, with winds reaching speeds of 60 to 70 mph.
