A new poll by CBS News-YouGov has revealed that Americans are not as sure about the "SAVE America Act" as the GOP's ability to win elections due to its lack of ability to pass the bill. The bill, which requires proof of citizenship to register, is supported by 66% of Americans. However, when asked about the bill, support was low. Only 28% of Republicans supported it, while 31% opposed it. The poll also revealed that even within the GOP, 60% supported the legislation. The survey also found that while noncitizen voting is not viewed as a major issue, it could make it more difficult for actual citizens to legally vote.
