A California jury has convicted an unlicensed cosmetologist for performing illegal buttock injections on a model named Christina Ashten Gourkani, who later died of respiratory failure. The victim was transported from Florida to the Bay Area and underwent the procedure at a Burlingame hotel. The conviction will be decided by the court in May.
