Talarico Claims Illegal Immigrant Students Are The ‘Most Patriotic’

James Talarico, the Democratic Senate nominee in Texas, has claimed that his former students who he taught were the most patriotic. This statement was made during a live taping of The Bulwark podcast in Dallas. Talaric, who previously taught sixth-grade language arts at Rhodes Middle School in San Antonio, also criticized Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as a "secret police" force. He has previously made similar statements glorifying illegal immigration in the past, including suggesting that the southern border should be a "front porch" with a welcome mat and a lock on the door.
