A 27-year-old man was stabbed during a fight in Rowan County, North Carolina, on April 30. Police found Altereck Rashad Shields Jr. with wounds to his chest and neck. Investigators from both Salisbury and the state were called in to investigate the incident. The fight reportedly involved a knife and both men sustained injuries. The suspect, 46-years-old Jerome Lee Staples, was later arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter.
