The DarkSword exploit, which was revealed by Google’s Threat Intelligence Group, is now publicly available on GitHub, increasing the urgency for older iPhones and iPads to run the latest available iOS and iPadOS versions. The exploit, along with Coruna and DarkSword, chain multiple iOS and iPodOS vulnerabilities to compromise outdated iPhones and iPados. The new versions of DarkSword share the same infrastructure with the ones analyzed previously, although the files are slightly different. Apple has issued an emergency update for devices unable to run recent versions of iOS.
