Driver Pinned Between Cars Dies After Route 1 Crash In South Brunswick

The South Brunswick Police Department received a report of a crash on Route 1 North at Ridge Road early Sunday morning. A 2025 Toyota Camry driven by a woman from Jersey City was hit in the rear by a 2012 Lexus SUV driven by 53-year-old man from Chester, Pennsylvania. The Lexus driver was pinned between the two vehicles and taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Lexus sedan was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and the Camry driver sustained minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
