Judge Rules For Fox News In Retaliation Lawsuit Brought By Former Producer

A federal judge has ruled that former Fox News producer Jason Donner was not unlawfully fired after he took a sick day. Donner had filed a lawsuit claiming he was dismissed after complaining about Fox News's coverage of the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election and the attack on the Capitol. A federal judge dismissed that part of the lawsuit in 2024 but allowed another claim, that Donner's retaliation was retaliated against for calling in sick. U.S. District Judge Amir Ali stated that Donning did not go to work and did not tell his supervisor he was sick until after 11:30 a.m.
