Head chef arrested on multiple sexual assault charges involving employees

Walid Gad, head chef at a restaurant in Woodbury, Conn., has been arrested on multiple sexual assault charges related to employees at the restaurant where he worked. The charges stem from alleged incidents between January 2025 and June 2025. Three former employees of the restaurant reported they were sexually assaulted by Gad, although they were undocumented immigrants. One victim claimed that Gad threatened to call the authorities if she reported the assaults. When interviewed, Gad admitted to having sexual contact with one victim five or six times but said it was consensual. The restaurant owner allegedly offered to pay the victims $20,000 in exchange for their silence.
