For the second consecutive year, Mason Mason won The News-Herald player of the year for the second straight year, earning her the coveted Kaayla Chones Award. She averaged 24.6 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 3.3 steals per game. Mason led the Cardinals to a 24-win season, a program record, and the Division I regional final, without a senior or a senior. She also won Ohio’s Ms. Basketball Award and was named first team Division III All-Ohio. Despite a young roster, with only one senior and a lot of sophomores and freshmen, Mason's performance was praised.
