Anthropic CEO, Dario Amodei, is set to meet with White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles amid a heated dispute between the US and beyond over the use of Anthropic's new artificial-intelligence model, Mythos, which the company claims could cause widespread disruption due to its ability to breach cybersecurity defenses. The Pentagon has blacklisted Anthropic after the company refused to remove safeguards preventing its AI models from being used to power autonomous weapons or mass surveillance of Americans. Despite this, the White House has directed all federal agencies to drop Anthropic’s tech. The company has been in discussions to provide government agencies with advance access to the system.
