The United States is considering releasing $6 billion in frozen Iranian assets as part of a potential deal to end the war with Iran, potentially releasing a total of $20 billion. The first phase of the deal would occur over the course of two-to-three years and is dependent on further conditions. The remaining $5 billion in Iranian assets are currently being held in Qatar. President Trump has stated that the US will receive any remaining nuclear fuel in Iran without exchanging any money.
