ODU president names law firm handling independent review of terror attack

Old Dominion University president Brian Hemphill has named the law firm, Cooley Law Firm, to conduct an independent review into the March 12 terror attack that killed professor LTC Brandon Shah and injured two students. The review will focus on critical procedures, overall preparedness, and the University’s response to the tragedy. It will also take a thorough look into the circumstances leading up to the shooting, as well as safety polices and active shooter training. The findings and recommendations will guide the university to a stronger focus on safety and security.
