The Iran war, which began nearly 10 weeks ago, has been seen as a significant boost in global clean energy technology. Recent data suggests that China's solar exports increased in March, partly due to domestic tax changes that made exports less profitable. South Korea's domestic EV sales more than doubled last month compared to March 2025, while solar panel imports were up 137%. Over $3 billion flowed into exchange-traded funds linked to renewables in April, the biggest inflow since January 2021. However, there are concerns that the war could hinder or slow the shift to low-carbon energy due to slower economic growth and increased demands on governments to cushion the blow.
