Former Webster Elementary School to become new musical theatre space

Music Theatre Wichita has announced a $25 million capital campaign to transform the former Webster Elementary School into a new musical theatre and educational space. The facility will include dedicated spaces for youth programs, classrooms, and offices for staff members. The project will be named the Judy Slawson Center for Musical Theatre in honor of a longtime supporter of the nonprofit. The center is expected to open in late 2027.
