Michael Wasserman, a Long Island businessman known for his 'Trump cars' and anti-Biden and Harris flags, has refused to accept a legal settlement after local officials ordered him to remove pro-Trump flags from his cars. The city of Long Beach, the chief of police, the city manager and specific police officers ordered Wasserman to remove the signage in 2021, alleging he violated a city ordinance barring displays being erected within the perimeter of the city. Wasserman, who sued the city for $25 million, claims the order violated his First Amendment rights and plans to donate at least $100,000 to charity. He also alleges that his politics led to harassment from other residents.
