A Bradenton police officer, Nicolas Leeman, has been charged with felony child abuse in relation to an off-duty incident involving one of his children. The 29-year-old man was arrested on a Hillsborough County warrant and transported to the Manatee County Jail, where he is awaiting extradition. The police have terminated Leeman from their position.
