Northeastern University's deal to take over Marymount Manhattan College is finalising, with the Lenox Hill campus set to be renamed "Northeast- New York City." The merger was approved by the Department of Education in November and is pending federal approval. As part of the deal, tuition and fees for Marymount will not increase, and 80 full-time faculty members will be extended one-year contracts.
