The Greenwich Police Department has reported that an officer was injured when a police car was hit by a fleeing vehicle in the Byram area of the city. The department became aware of a possible car carrier scam and dispatched several officers to investigate it. The vehicle then fled the scene and struck a marked patrol vehicle while multiple officers responded. Two people connected to the incident have been arrested, and there is no known threat to the community.
