Kroger has announced a new offer to help customers save on gas as gas prices rise due to economic pressures. The grocery chain has cut in-store prices and is offering customers four times the usual amount of Fuel Points on groceries and eligible purchases. Fuel prices have risen following the U.S. and Israel’s attack on Iran, which disrupted roughly 20% of global oil supplies and liquefied natural gas volumes. Currently, gas prices across the US are averaging around $3.98 per gallon, according to data from the American Automobile Association. GasBuddy's head of petroleum analysis, Patrick De Haan, warned that gas stations may soon struggle under the psychological "psychological wall" at $4 per gallon.
